THE FOUNDER
Meet Malik Dade
Malik Dade did not start KD Roofing and Exteriors from a boardroom. He started in the field. Knocking doors, climbing roofs, learning the insurance claims process inside and out, and building real relationships with homeowners who needed someone they could actually trust.
He cut his teeth working at one of the top roofing companies in Ellis County, where he quickly became one of the strongest closers on the team. But it was not just about sales. Malik learned what homeowners actually need: someone who shows up, communicates clearly, handles the hard parts, and never leaves a job unfinished.
That experience revealed a gap in the industry. Most roofing companies are built to sell. KD Roofing and Exteriors was built to serve. Every system, every standard, and every hire is designed around one question: would we put this roof on our own home?
Malik is a certified insurance claim specialist. He personally oversees every project, manages the insurance process, and makes sure every homeowner is informed, protected, and respected from the first phone call to the final walkthrough.

THE NAME
What KD Means
KD stands for Kaleo Dade — my cousin. Someone I grew up with who shared the same drive, discipline, and vision for building something greater.
Kaleo earned a football scholarship to Quincy University and was preparing to take the next step in his journey. Just two months before graduating, his life was tragically cut short in a car accident — something that impacted not just our family, but everyone who knew him.
Kaleo represented hard work, character, and commitment. Those are the same values this company is built on.
Starting KD Roofing and Exteriors was my way of carrying that forward — not just in name, but in how we operate every day. It is about doing things the right way, staying disciplined, and building something that lasts.
This company is more than just business. It is about legacy.
